| Growing up in Texas, Jill thought of skincare as sunscreen and problem-mediated products. But after her healthcare training at Harvard and New York University, she began to better understand the concept of protecting and maintaining skin health. ˇ§You have to know your skin and what it needs. Balance is important, and what you do now affects what you do or get later.ˇ¨ Delving deeper into the science behind the skincare, she realized that "Thereˇ¦s just so much out there and it's hard to differentiate what's good for the skin and what's not. That's why while creating JUARA, we wanted to make sure the ingredients were effective." At JUARA, Jill works in product development, connecting the empirically used ingredients that Indonesian skincare has to offer with the science learned from her medical training. Otherwise, she's out and about in New York trying to remember that lots of sleep, good food, and good mental health are a requirement for good skin health too.
